WEEK AT A GLANCE
MATH: This week in math, students continued to focus on using partial-quotients to solve division problems. We also spent time discussing what to do with the remainder (ignore it, round it up, or divide it) based on what the questions are saying. In addition, we discussed measuring angles with a protractor.
READING: This week in reading, students will continue to focus on informational text. We will focus on text structure of informational text and how it can help us to answer questions. WRITING: This week in writing, students will be working on reviewing what is needed to write an effective narrative story. Students will have a choice to write a story of their choosing while including all components of a narrative story. Science: This week we continued to focus on rock formations. We have spent time looking at the rock cycle and the different types of rocks (igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary). UPCOMING DATES: *March 6th - Super Science Day *March 11th - Students go to A2 Symphony Orchestra *March 13th - Books and Bingo Night (time to be determined) |
